In the public institutions in the parish there were 140
deaths, viz., 18 in the Workhouse, 23 in the Paddington Infirmary,
12 in the Children's Hospital, 2 in the Lock Hospital, and 85
in St. Mary's Hospital. The 18 deaths in the AVorkhouse—8
males and 10 females—and the 23 deaths in the Paddington
Infirmary—12 males and 11 females—being regarded as those
of parishioners, are included in the 386 deaths in St. Mary's
Sub-district. 58 of the deaths in St. Mary's Hospital were of
non-parishioners, as were also 6 of the deaths in the Children's
Hospital, and the two deaths in the Lock Hospital, and are
therefore not dealt with in this report.
In extra-parochial hospitals and institutions, within the
Metropolis, there were 17 deaths of parishioners, as under: —
