Deducting from the total deaths (578) those of 66 nonparishioners—58
in St. Mary's Hospital, 6 in the Children's
Hospital, Paddington Green, and 2 in the Lock Hospital —the
corrected number of deaths of parishioners in the parish is seen
to be 512. To this number must be added the deaths of 17
parishioners in extra-parochial hospitals and institutions, within
the Metropolis during the same period, making a total of 529
deaths — 241 males and 288 females—equivalent to an
annual death-rate of 18.7 per 1,000 inhabitants.
The number of births and of deaths, together with the birth
and death-rates in the parish, and in its two sub-districts, during
the quarter is shown in the subjoined table:—
