These 17 deaths—14 of parishioners from St. Mary's Subdistrict,
and 3 of parishioners from St. John's—are included in
the total deaths (529), and throughout this report are dealt with
in the same manner as if they had actually occurred in the
parish.

Of the 529 deaths, 86 were of Infants under 1 year of age,
149 of children under 5 years, and 145 of persons aged 6'5
years and upwards.
The rate of infantile mortality in Paddington was 112
deaths to 1,000 registered births. In London it was 131;
