LIGHTING.
In the Parish of Lewisham there are at present 474 lamps
lighted by the Phoenix Gas Company, at a contract price of
£4 5s. per lamp per annum, and 571 lamps lighted by the Crystal
Palace District Gas Company,at a contract price of £4 3s. 4d. per
lamp per annum.
In the Hamlet of Penge there are 305 lamps lighted by the
Crystal Palace District Gas Company, at a contract price of
£4 3s. 4d. pet lamp per annum. During the year the Phoenix Gas
Company reduced their price from £4 12s. to £4 5s. per lamp per
annum.
The Indices of the meter lamps have been read during the
year. Six lamps were removed altogether during the year.
