STATEMENT OF NEW WORKS AND
IMPROVEMENTS
Carried out under the direction of the General Purposes Committee,
during year ending 25th March, 1864.
Lambeth Walk.— New 3-in. York paving Granite,
12x8, flat kerb, and paved channels from Mill Street to
Princes Road; the remainder of the footway relaid and
made good ; the roadway repaired and made-up throughout.
Rumsey Road.—New 12 x 6 granite edge kerb; footways
gravelled ; and road-way formed and made-up with
hard core, and faced with rough gravel.
Kennington Oval,—Footway, on north side, from
Harleyford Street to Harleyford Road, paved with 3-in. York;
the old kerb reset, jointed, and back-jointed.
Park Street.—Foot-way paved with new 3-in. York ;
old kerb jointed and reset, and made good with new,
James Street, Lambeth Walk.—New 3-in. York paving
to footways; kerb reset, jointed, and made good.
Crozier Street.—New 3-in. York paving to footway
on north side.
Wandsworth Road.—New 3-in. York paving laid on
both sides of the road, from Nine Elms to the boundary of
Palish.
Walton Terrace, South Lambeth.—New granite
kerb, and York paving to foot-way; road-way properly
