"to alter, or repeal, or make other provisions in regard to the
same."
Mem.—Should these works be permitted it will be
necessary to anticipate the paving of the margins
of the roadway on each side of the Tramway.
As regards the widening of Rye lane, the Vestry passed
the following Resolutions on the 15th of February last:
(a) That upon the London, Camberwell and
and Dulwich Tramway Company widening Rye lane, in a
manner shewn upon the plan marked A and deposited by
them with this Vestry, and upon such Company acquiring
and conveying to the Vestry, free of expense, for the use
of the public for ever the land in such plan coloured red,
the Tramway No. 1, referred to in the 48 & 49 Vict. c.
199, Section 5, may be constructed. And that after such
conveyance the Common Seal of the Vestry be affixed to
this resolution as shewing that this Vestry is satisfied
with such widening.
(b) That upon the London, Camberwell and
Dulwicli Tramway Company effecting the Junction of
their Tramway No. 1, with the Tramways of the London
Tramways Company, Limited (so far as shewn on the
plan deposited by them with this Vestry and marked B)
in pursuance of the said Section 5 of 48 and 49 Vict. c. 199,
and dealt with by the 50 and 51 Vict. cap. 183, Section
15, the Common Seal of the Vestry be affixed to this
resolution as shewing that the Vestry is satisfied with
such Junction and approves of it, and the said Tramway
No. 1 may thereupon be opened for traffic.
