The death-rate (19.1) here assigned to South London
is larger than that assigned to North London, but smaller
than any of the others. It exceeds by 0.6 the death-rate of
the same area in 1885.
In Table III. are recorded the deaths per cent. from the
more important zymotic or infectious diseases in London,
year by year, for the last ten years; and, for the year 1886,
their distribution among the groups of districts:—
