YORK PAVING.
General Works. The General Repairs of the stonepaved
footways throughout the Parish, including making good
openings made for gas and water and drainage trenches, have
been executed by the masons, &c., in the employ of the
Vestry, the material being supplied by the contractor to the
Vestry, the trenches work being, as per custom, charged to
the respective Companies.
The following Special Repairs have also been executed:—
Upper Grange Road, east side, from Old Kent road to
Earl road.
Camberwell New Road, from Orchard row to Parish
boundary at Tramway Company's premises.
Camberwell High Road, west side, from Avenue road
northward to Parish boundary between Camberwell and
Newington.

The quantity of New Paving, &c., used, is as follows:—

York Paving12,776 feet.
Kerb1,000 „

In addition to the foregoing footway Paving Repairs,
Granite-pitched channelling and crossings have been laid in
various parts of the Parish, adding much to both the cleanliness
of the streets and also to the comfort of pedestrian traffic.
The quantity laid down has been about 2,000 yards super.
