The Vestry had plans prepared, and also petitioned the Metropolitan

Cumberland Place. This road having been widened
on the south side and the ground forming such extra width
of road having been dedicated by the Owners to the Public,
the Vestry paved with York Stone the new footway, the
Owner of the ground contributing one-half towards the cost
of the same.
St. Mary's Road. The Vestry having received an offer
from the Owner of a piece of Land at the corner of St. Mary's
road and Evelina road to convey a portion of the same to the
Vestry, with a view to improving the present inconvenient
junction of the roads meeting at this point, for the sum of
£100. The Vestry has, in consideration of the public
improvement to be created by acquiring such land, recommended
that the offer be accepted.
