SEWER CLEANSING.
The Local Main Sewers are kept free from deposit
and heavy matter by the gang of Flushers in the Vestry's
service. The quantity of sewer slop removed during the
past year has been 153 loads.
All sewers vested in the Vestry are in thorough repair
and working efficiently.
HOUSE DRAINAGE.
203 applications have been received for the drainage of
642 houses into the sewers, and the works in connection
therewith have been duly inspected.
REMOVAL OF DUST.
This work has been carried out as before by means of
the plant, horses, &c., of the Vestry.
The quantity collected during the past
year ending Lady Day, 1886 21,582 loads.
