This has been supplemented for the increased
work to be performed in 1880-1 and the Plant as now
provided is:—

The horses during the past year have kept in
excellent health, little illness has occurred amongst
them, and the loss of two only has taken place. This
your Committee suggest may be accepted as satisfactory
proof of efficient management.
The cost of fodder for the above has been
£3383 12s. 9d., being equal to about £1 Is. Od. per
week per horse.
The amount of fodder, etc., consumed and its cost by the above 62 horses during the year 1879-80, was as follows:—
