the size of and the space between Stalls, but objected to the
suggestion that all Stalls should be on wheels, and to the suggestion
that no Stalls or Barrows be allowed to have frame work to carry
an awning. The petition suggested that the Police Regulations
of 1882, with some slight modifications, should be adopted. The
petition also suggested that the hours of Sunday Trading should be
considerably curtailed. The further consideration of the report
presented in November was resumed and referred back to the
Committee.
On the l6th of December, the Committee reported that they had
considered the petition presented to the Vestry on 2nd of December,

Regulations of 1869, with specified modifications. The report was
approved and adopted. On the 31st of December it was resolved
that the Street Regulations Committee be a standing Committee of
twenty Members, consisting of five Members of each Ward.
The Committee was appointed, and in February recommended
the appointment of a Street Keeper to carry out the Street Regulations
and attend to the Sunday Morning Scavenging. At the
Meeting of the 17th of February, the consideration of appointing
a Street Keeper was deferred for three months.

proposed alteration.
The Yicar, the Rev. H. B. Bromby, and others interested in the
Church, being desirous of improving it, by extending the apse or
chancel, applied for a Faculty authorising the proposed alteration.

enlargement might not involve danger to the structure and
increase the liability of the Vestry to keep the Church in repair.
