The cases treated included the following:—
Malnutrition 63
Marasmus 1
Debility 12
Rickets 22
Anaemia 2

Nervous instability 2

Malnutrition.— Sixty-three cases were treated. There was
marked improvement in 53 cases, little improvement in 10. It must
be remembered that in nearly all those cases where there was little improvement
there was some adverse condition present, such as infective
tonsils, which needed operation. One child who had previously
gained 1oz. in 3 months, gained 4½ lbs. with 4 months' treatment.
Marasmus.— One case, 6 months, with indigestion and sleeplessness,
a difficult baby from birth, had had Benger's, then peptonised
milk. Her weight was ll½lb., when treatment finished at 11½ months
she weighed 17 lb. 15½oz., had cut 8 teeth, had no indigestion, was
sleeping well, a fine healthy child.
