I am pleased to be able to report that steps are
now being taken by the Duchy of Lancaster to obtain
an alteration of coroner's districts, which will render it
unnecessary in future to use the Savoy dead-house for
the reception of bodies, a purpose for which the
building is quite unsuited.

under the supervision of the Department during the
