It will be seen from the foregoing table that 16 deaths were registered
as due to Tuberculosis, of which 12 were Pulmonary and 4 NonPulmonary.
The figures correspond to a death rate per 1,000 of population
of .39 for Pulmonary Tuberculosis and .13 for Non-Pulmonary
Tuberculosis.
Of the 16 deaths which occurred, 5 were in unnotified cases, i.e.,
31 per cent. of the total Tuberculosis deaths. Four of the unnotified
deaths were of residents who died outside the area and came to notice
by inward transfers. Investigations as to the reasons for omissions of
notifications are made at the request of the County Medical Officer of
Health, and the information obtained is forwarded to him.

The following table, compiled from local records, shows the number of new cases of Tuberculosis notified during the year, together with the deaths at various age periods:—
