Notification of tuberculosis was, on the whole, satisfactory.
Cases which die unnotified are usually those of
an obscure character where ante-mortem diagnosis is
difficult or impossible. There were two such cases during
the year.
The facilities for chest X-ray examination offered
by arrangement with the Kingston Victoria Hospital were
made use of in five cases.
At the end of the year the following number of cases
was shown to be suffering from the disease and living in
the district, an increase of ten cases compared with
