(a) Piece of wire in loaf of bread; plea of Guilty, fined £10 with £2.2=0. costs
(b) Sale of mouldy steak and kidney pies; plea of Not Gilty but offence proved,
fined £10 with £5,5.0. costs.
(c) Sale of decomposing chicken; plea of Not Guilty but offence proved, fined £10
with £5.5.0. costs. A subsequent appeal by the defendant was dismissed and
costs of £26 5 0. awarded to the Corporation.
(d) Sale of chocolate infested with maggots, and mouldy; plea of Guilty, fined £5.
