SCARLET FEVER.
The system of treatment of this disease as applied in Tottenham
was very fully considered in last year's report. Your Council has not
found it necessary to modify it in any detail.
The number of cases notified during the year was 385. Of these,
36 were removed to hospital.
The number of cases treated at home by the Council's "Milne"
nurses was 347.
There were
216 premises in which 1 case occurred =216 cases.
33 premises in which 2 cases occurred = 66 cases.
15 premises in which 3 cases occurred = 45 cases.
3 premises in which 4 cases occurred = 12 cases.
2 premises in which 5 cases occurred = 10 cases.
269 premises. *349 cases.
*The actual number of cases dealt with up to 31st December was 347.
It will be seen, however, that 349 are accounted for. From that number,
however, has to be deducted 2, which occurred in 1924, but in the same
premises as cases notified during 1923. These 2 cases have been included
in order that a complete record may be given of the multiple cases.
