Rash first appeared on morning of 27th, isolated, more
definite on 28th. No constitutional symptoms. Removed to
Hospital 28th October.

The 4th case commenced on Oct. 23rd, patient aged 73, his history being as follows:—

Oct. 23rd. Temperature101.2.
„ 24th.988.
,, 25th. ,,99.
„ 26th. „99.
27th.98.4.
28th.98.2.

Very feeble old hemiplegic. No prodromal rash, spots
appeared on 28th.

The 5th case commenced on 25th, patient aged 67, his history being as follows:—

Oct. 25th. Temperature100.
,, 26th. „100-4.
„ 27th.99.
„ 28th.99.

Pains in loins over old scar on 25th and 26th. A few
pustular spots discovered at inspection on 28th.
The 6th case commenced on October 25th patient aged 61.
October 25th temperature 100.6, normal next day and until
29th then 99. Rash appeared on 30th and lemoved to hospital
same day.
The last case (7th) was a female aged 73, whose history was as
follows:—
Previously in Little Watkworth House which is situated
in the far corner of the grounds, and there would be no possible
chance of contact except at the Sunday Service.
She was removed from Little Warkworth House on October
24th to the Female Infirm Block complaining of abdominal
pain. On 22nd temperature had been 101—rash appeared on
October 30th. Vaccinated in childhood. Removed to South
Wharf M.A.B. Hospital as Dockwell was full.
