No further cases occurred in the Infirmary or amongst the
contacts.
Further cases occurred amongst the patients in the Male Infirm
Ward to which the 1st case was transferred.
The next case commenced on October 15th, 12 days after the
admission of the first case to the Male Infirm Block.

Patient aged 77, the progress being as follows:—

Oct 15th. Temperature99.
,, 16th. ,,101. Vague pains. Feeling seedy.
„ 17th.102. Feeling seedy.
,. 18th.100. Left eye inflamed.
,, 19th. ,,99-2 Restless and inclined to be delirious.
„ 20th.98. Bash appeared at

1 p.m. A few spots
on chesk, abdomen
and back and front
of upper parts of
thighs. Forehead,
wrists and face free.
At 10 p.m. no doubt
as to diagnosis.
The 2nd case commenced on Oct 21st, patient aged 68,
the onset being as follows:—
Oct. 21st. Temperature 102.
„ 22nd. „ 100.5.
„ 23rd. ,, 98. Rash appeared.

The 3rd case commenced on Oct. 21st, patient aged 61 his record being as follows:—
