SANITARY CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE AREA.
Water Supply.
The Metropolitan Water Board is responsible for the supply of
water to the Borough and regular periodical examinations are made
by them.
With three exceptions all the dwelling houses in Wimbledon are
supplied from public water mains direct to the houses.
During the year samples of water were taken for bacteriological
examination as follows:—
Wimbledon Corporation Swimming Baths 12 samples
Warren Farm, Wimbledon Common 1 sample
Roman Well Laundry Cottage, Wimbledon Common 1 sample
All fourteen samples were reported on as being satisfactory.
