RATS AND MICE DESTRUCTION ACT, 1919
AND INFESTATION ORDER, 1943
(a) Rat repression is actively pursued by the Council's trained
Rat Catchers ; the Sanitary Inspectors act in a technical and advisory
capacity.
(b) Local Authority Circular N.S.19.—The Scheme of the
Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (Infestation Control Division)
was accepted by the Council and work is carried on to comply with
the Ministry's requirements for effective rodent control of the area.
Pre-baiting and poison baiting has been carried out with
continued success.
