CLINICAL REPORT.
Dr. M. Hamilton, Resident Medical Officer, reports as follows:—

The 189 cases listed under "other diseases" include mainly
observation cases in which no specific disease was diagnosed—
tonsillitis, Vincent's angina, mumps, rubella, chicken pox, otorrhoea,
"common cold", pneumonia and impetigo.
Five cases were transferred to Whipps Cross Hospital:—
One case of non-infective diarrhoea.
One case of intractable cervical adenitis.
One case of intractable scabies and impetigo.
One case of retro-pharyngeal abscess.
One case of nephritis not due to infective disease.
Three cases were received from Whipps Cross Hospital, one of
scarlet fever, one of measles and one of rubella.
One member of the nursing staff was transferred to a hospital
for mental diseases.
There were three cases of "sore throat" among the staff. Two
other members of the staff suffered from minor injuries.
One patient notified as a case of cerebro-spinal meningitis
proved to be a case of sub-arachnoid haemorrhage.
SEX AND AGE AT DEATH.
Ten deaths occurred, details of which are given below.
4 Pulmonary Tuberculosis .. Females aged 26, 26, 28 and
32 years.
2 Cerebro-Spinal Meningitis .. Male aged 5 years. *Female,
aged years.
