During the year 100 samples of foods and drugs were submitted to the Public Analyst. Ten samples were found to be, in some respect, unsatisfactory—details are as follows:—

No legal proceedings were necessary in respect of the ten samples
dealt with, as detailed above.
In addition to those procured by your Officers, nine samples of
milk were taken by the Food Sampling Officer of a London Borough,
in course of delivery, at a local dairy.
(e) Chemical and Bacteriological Examination of Foods.
Chemical examination is carried out by the Public Analyst,
Dr. Bernard Dyer, 20, Eastcheap, E.C.3, and bacteriological
examination by the Counties Public Health Laboratories, Gidea
Park College.
