PUERPERAL PYREXIA.
29 cases of Puerperal Pyrexia were notified during 1942.
The puerperal pyrexia rate for 1942 was 18.2 per 1,000 births,
as compared with 29.1 in 1941, and the mortality due to puerperal
sepsis was 3.4 per cent. of the cases of puerperal pyrexia
notified.
ABORTION.
CIRCULAR 1661.- The number of cases in which medical aid
notices were issued during 1942 by midwives in accordance with
Rule E of the Central Midwives Board was:-
