In so far as Council properties are concerned, abnormal requirements
are noted as follows:—
10 cases of families of 9 units; 6 cases of families of 9½ units;
5 cases of families of 10 units; one case each of 10½, 11, 11½ and
13½ units.
The results of 393 cases already investigated on the overcrowding
schedule show the following abnormal requirements in order to
comply with the standard of re-housing provided for in the Housing
Act, 1936, section 136:—
40 cases requiring 4 bedrooms; 37 cases requiring 5 bedrooms;
25 cases requiring 6 bedrooms; 4 cases requiring 7 bedrooms.
The total number of houses erected under the various Housing
Acts, or otherwise acquired for the purpose of re-housing the working
classes, is as follows:—
50 Two bedroom non-parlour type.
