The draft plans of a new cubicle block have been agreed
to in principle between the Ministry of Health and your
Council, and provide twelve cubicle beds and an operating
suite. The completion of this block is a continued and urgent
necessity.
The County Council have formulated a scheme for Isolation
Hospital accommodation in the County, and this provides
for a Joint Hospital of 261 beds to serve the Boroughs of
Walthamstow and Leyton. Negotiations are still proceeding.
