The Public Health (London) Act, 1891.
During the year a very large amount of work has been
done under this Act, full details of which will be found in
the Report of the Medical Officer of Health, but the following
brief summary may be of interest : —
11,046 visits and inspections were made; 1,203 notices
for the abatement of nuisances served; 39 cases occurred
where proceedings were necessary; in every instance orders
