No ante-natal or post-natal examinations were carried out by General Practitioners at the mother's home or
the practitioner's surgery under arrangements made with the Local Health Authority
Whilst mothers booked for domiciliary confinement are examined at ante-natal clinics by the midwife with whom they are
booked, a medical officer who Is examining mothers booked for hospital, also Is at the clinic and Is readily available
for consultation should the midwife consider this necessary. There are at present 8 such sessions by mldwlves each month.
