(N) Diseases of Animals Act. 1950
Numerous Orders are made under the authority of this Act many of
them dealing with Imported animals or fodder, and It Is frequently necessary
to visit the Docks In connection therewith. Foot and Mouth Disease and
Swine Fever Orders affecting the town were In operation during part of the
year and movement licences were Issued where necessary.
HOUSING STATISTICS
I. Inspection of dwelling houses during the year.
1. (A) Total number of dwelling houses Inspected for
defects (Under Public Health or Housing Acts) 9,145
(B) Number of Inspections made for the purpose 20,887
2. (A) Number of dwelling houses Included under sub-head
(1) above which were Inspected and recorded under
the Housing Consolidation Regulations, 1925 -
(B) Number of Inspections made for the purpose -
3. Number of premises found to be In a state so dangerous
or Injurious to health as to be unfit for human
habitation 1
4. Number of dwelling houses (exclusive of those referred to
under preceding sub-head) found not be In all respects
