The daily average attendances at the Clinics were as follows:

North Woolwich, Tuesday afternoon 21
Masterman Road, Wednesday afternoon 93
Central Clinic, Thursday morning 79
Church Road, Thursday afternoon 91
Plashet Grove, Friday afternoon 103
Excluding North Woolwich Infant Welfare Centre, which
supplies a very small area, the average attendance of children per
session at all centres during the year is 84.0.
During 1935, 3,582 children attended the centres. The total
attendance of infants from 0—5 was 30,163.
At the clinics special attention is paid to the education of
mothers, individual instruction is given in general hygiene of
childhood, correct methods of feeding and management of children.
Mothers are encouraged to bring their children for periodical
medical examination so that defects and incipient diseases can be
treated in the early stages.
Toddlers' Clinics
Clinics for the examination of "Toddlers"—children between
the ages of two and five years—are held on Monday and Friday
mornings, at Church Road Clinic, and on Thursday afternoon at
the Central Clinic. During 1935, 1,072 examinations were made.
In cases where defects were found, the patients were transferred
to the appropriate Specialist Service, or hospital.
