N.B.—In considering the combined totals it will be noticed
that 53.8 per cent. of the cases are in the age group 1-5 years,
34.0 per cent. in the age group 6-10 years, and 12.1 per cent. in
the group over 10 years.
The Schick test for susceptibility to Diphtheria was performed
during the year in 1,216 of the completed cases of which 1,125
proved negative. In 91 of the cases positive results were obtained
and further inoculations were carried out.
