No deaths have occurred at the Homes during- the period of
this report.
THE NURSERY.
The high value of the Nursery is daily evidenced. The health
and freedom from disease are greatly facilitated by the modernity
of the Institution and the excellence of its appurtenances.
ACCOMMODATION.
There has been sufficient accommodation for all classes of
children.
VISITING.
Approximately 273 visits were made to Aldersbrook and 231
to the Scattered Homes. One hundred and eighty-two children
were examined on admission and 190 on discharge. Minor
operations have taken place when necessity arose, and treatment
for other ailments has been given as and when required.
DENTAL SURPERVISION AND TREATMENT.
The usual visits and inspections have been made by the
Dental Surgeon. One hundred and twelve children have been
treated for extractions, fillings and scalings during the period
under review.

HEALTH OF THE CHILDREN.
The incidence of sickness amongst the children has been
small. Apart from minor injuries and ailments, three cases of
serious illness occurred which, in each case, necessitated removal
to hospital.
