One death occurred during the period under review.
Accommodation.
I understand that the Elizabeth Fry Lodge will be shortly
ready for occupation and the numbers in excess in the other
Lodges will thereby be reduced.
Visiting, Examinations and Inspections.
I and my Assistant made approximately 263 visits to the
Aldersbrook Homes and 92 to the Scattered Homes.
166 children were thoroughly examined on admission and 210
on discharge.
Minor operations have been duly carried out, and treatment
given or ordered as required.
In addition the usual routine medical inspections required by
the Public Assistance Order have been performed. Eleven
children, with parental consent, were successfully vaccinated.
The Dentist, Mr. Rose, has made the usual visits and inspections
at Aldersbrook and the Scattered Homes, resulting in
73 children being treated for extractions, fillings, scalings, etc.,
anæsthetics being given by my Assistant when necessary.
