Macclesfield Street, where the members of any family in which
any dangerous infectious disease has appeared, who are compelled
to leave their dwellings for the purpose of enabling such dwellings
to be disinfected, can be received, and the following Regulations
for the management of the said Shelter-house have been approved
by your Yestry.
VESTRY OF ST. LUKE, MIDDLESEX.
Regulations for persons occupying the temporary Shelter-house.
1. Persons shall occupy the temporary Shelter-house only during the
period that their rooms are undergoing disinfection; when this
process has been completed, the Caretaker will inform them of
the fact and they shall immediately vacate the Shelter-house.
2. No person not being a temporary occupant shall be permitted to
visit the Shelter on any pretence whatever, except with the written
permission of the Medical Officer of Health.
3. Occupants shall at all times keep their rooms and all articles in
them in an orderly and cleanly condition.
4. Every person occupying the temporary Shelter-house shall at all
times behave in a decent. orderly, and sober manner, and every
person not so behaving, shall be liable to instant discharge by the
Caretaker, who has received instructions to rigidly enforce this
rule.

Duties of the Caretaker of the temporary Shelter-house.
1. He shall at all times keep the building in a cleanly state, and shall
prepare the rooms for the reception of cases.
2. As soon as convenient, after the departure of a family, he shall see
that the rooms are washed, that the bedding and other clothing
used by them is properly disinfected and washed, and that all
articles are put away in a cleanly condition.
3. He shall see that the Regulations of the temporary Shelter-house
are rigidly observed by the inmates, and any breach thereof shall
be reported to the Medical Officer of Health.
4. He shall keep a book, provided by the Vestry, in which he shall
enter the names and ages of all persons who shall become
occupants of the Shelter, the hour and date of their arrival
and of their final departure.
