The following statement of the number of births of
males and females in each of the ten years, 1882-91, shows
the continuous decline of the birth-rate in this Parish, a
decline which has been going on during the entire period of
my tenure of office. The birth rate in 1872 was 32T per 1000: in 1868, it was 33.1 per 1000.

DEATHS AND DEATH-RATE.
The deaths registered in 1892, inclusive of 249
deaths of parishioners at out-lying public institutions,
&c., but exclusive of deaths of non-parishioners at public
