and Cabbage; Salad (Spring) Onions; Parsnips;
Ripe Onions and Shallots; Turnips and Swedes;
Watercress; Horseradish; Kidney and Runner
Beans; Mushrooms; Forced Rhubarb; Natural
Rhubarb; Stilton Cheese; Hot House Grapes.
During the year Regulations affecting Canned Vegetables (1931), Honey (1932),
Cauliflower and Broccoli, Canned Fruits, Asparagus, Jam, and Bunched Carrots
(1933), were revoked and the Regulations affecting Bottled Fruits were amended.
No offences were discovered during the year.
Sophistication of Food.— The following Table No. 28, gives details of the
various analyses made under the Food and Drugs (Adulteration) Act, Public Health
(Condensed Milk) Regulations, Public Health (Dried Milk) Regulations and the
Public Health (Preservatives, etc., in Food) Regulations.
