74 samples of milk were taken in course of delivery to various schools in
the Borough. 40 of the samples were submitted for chemical analysis, 29 for
bacteriological examination, and 5 for the detection of Tuberculosis (guinea
pig inoculation).
All the samples proved to be satisfactory.
22 samples of milk were taken in course of delivery to various hospitals
and institutions in the Borough. 17 were submitted for chemical analysis,
4 for bacteriological examination, and 1 for the detection of Tuberculosis
(guinea pig inoculation).

7 "appeal to the cow" samples were taken, 6 of which, on analysis, were
found to be deficient in fat. Advice was given to the cowkeeper regarding
the interval between the times of milking. A subsequent bulk sample
of the milk from the 7 cows was satisfactory.
