during the year 1936. The big decrease is almost entirely due to the fact
that the dairymen are keeping their premises and the utensils used in connection
with the business in better conditions.
The year 1936 has been a successful one—difficulties have been met with
and will continue to be met with, but there is every hope for a good year
during 1937.

14 samples of milk were submitted to the Bacteriologist for the detection
of Tuberculosis (guinea pig inoculation). In one case the two animals
inoculated both died of septic infection, probably due to organisms present
in the milk. The experiment was, therefore', nullified. Further samples
were taken from the same source and proved to be satisfactory. The
remainder of the samples were satisfactory.
