Thirty-four bakehouses, two cowsheds and four slaughterhouses
were visited, notices were served for cleansing, limewhiting,
&c., where necessary, and the work done in all cases.
Factory and Workshops Act, 1895, and
Public Health (London) Act, 1891.
Under the above-mentioned Acts a systematic inspection is
being carried on, and special attention being paid to the provision
of proper and suitable sanitary conveniences to the factories and
workshops in the Parish. We are pleased to state that as a rule
we find the employers are very willing to carry out the necessary
improvements when their attention is directed to the same.
