DENTAL CLINIC.
The dental treatment of mothers and children referred from the
Maternity and Child Welfare clinic doctors was carried out at the
liunicipal Dental Hospital, the first attendances of mothers being
240 and of children 15. The total attendances were 593 mothers,
27 children.
Further particulars of treatment given to mothers and children
is given in the table on page 26 ยป
OTORRHOEA CASES.
The number of cases visited by the Shoreditch District Nursing
Associations under arrangement with the Council was 11 and the total
vis its 78.
NURSING IN THE HOME,
The District Nursing Association undertook the nursing of
children under 5 years and of parturient women referred to them by
medical practitioners and by the Maternity and Child Welfare department.
The number of cases visited was 33 and the total visits
paid 215.
PREMATURE INFANTS,
I am pleased to be able to state that the good work reported
last year has continued, and that the scheme adopted in Shoreditch
has ncmr been extended to other parts of the London County Council
service.
The number of infants visited up to 5th July was 36 and the
total visits paid were 333.
DAY NURSERIES.
The Council administered two day nurseries. The Sun Babies
Nursery, Upwey Street, has accommodation for 25 children under 2 years
and 35 toddlers aged 2 to 5 years, The Brunswick Day Nursery,
Haggerston Road, has accommodation for 60 children aged 2 to 5 years.
