PREMATURE BIRTHS.
All notifications of birth reported to the Medical Officer of
Health are required to disclose prematurity of infants with a
birth weight of 5½ lbs. or less, and particulars of the births of
children occurring in the Borough whose parents are normally
resident outside the area are transferred to the local authority
concerned.
Details of premature births which occurred in Bromley during 1947 are as follows:—
