After Care.
The work of the following-up of the necessitous ailing
child, recommended by the School Medical Officer for the
provision of extra nourishment, convalescence, etc., is
under the efficient control of Miss M. Isard, the Hon.
Secretary of the Bromley Children's Care Committee,
whose Report for the year is appended.
I would like to express appreciation of the work Miss
Isard, and the many lady helpers of the Care Committee,
are doing at the Clinics to co-ordinate with the school
medical services the work of After Care which is so
essential. They devote a great deal of time daily at the
various clinics and centres, and without this public
spirited voluntary effort the services would lack to a great
extent that very desirable social influence their presence
brings to the work; apart from this aspect, the practical
work they are able to do, renders valuable assistance to
the permanent staff.
REPORT OF THE BROMLEY CHILDREN'S CARE
COMMITTEE, 1935.
During the year voluntary helpers have been
extremely regular in attendance at the various clinics.
