In order to facilitate the work of the clinic a change
in routine was tried in the Autumn; the helpers now give
practical aid in the treatment room instead of assisting in
the nurses' clerical work which is now combined with all
the clerical work of the general office staff.

Assistance has been given in 195 cases as follows:—

Extra nourishment34
Provision of glasses11
Eares for taxis after T. and A. Operations8
Fares to hospitals6
Provision of boots82
Convalescent home letters52

Two children were sent to the Royal Sea Bathing
Hospital, one for twelve months and the other for eight
months. A child was sent to Broadstairs for twelve weeks,
and another for six weeks.
An arrangement has heen made with the Hon.
Treasurer of the Queen's Reign Commemoration Fund
whereby the Care Committee contribute 10s. Od. towards
the maintenance expenses of each child sent to convalescent
home under letter supplied by the Fund. This scheme
has enabled the Fund to supply a larger number of
letters.
The Committee would like to record their appreciation
of the help given by Mr. Harvey Lowe through the
Queen's Reign Commemoration Fund, and also of the
assistance given by Mr. Harris, who continues to supply
spectacles at a very reduced rate to cases referred from the
Eye Clinic.
Miss Faber, who had helped at the Dental Clinic for
a long time, resigned during the year.
In conclusion the Committee would thank all those
who have given assistance in any way and thus made it
possible to carry on the work successfully.
