RODENT CONTROL
The treatment of the Council sewers against rats was continued;
the 33rd and 34th poisoned bait treatment was carried out without
pre baiting
As a result of notification, 342 premises were inspected' for the
presence of rats and mice. At 75 of these premises minor mouse
infestations and 267 minor common rat infestations were found.
In the course of a survey of properties 1,559 visits were made
revealing 8 minor and 2 major common rat infestations.
The total number of treatments carried out during the period
was 352.
The Council's refuse tip and destructor works were baited at
intervals and several supervisory visits were made to the Council
allotments adjoining the tip for evidence of the presence of rats.
