NATIONAL SURVEY OF AIR POLLUTION
At the request of the Department of Scientific and Industrial
Research the Council agreed to participate in this survey and set up a
measurement station at the Town Hall in October, 1959. Two further
stations were added in January, 1962, one at Lordship Lane
Secondary Modern School and one at Bounds Green Secondary
Modern School. That at Lordship School was transferred to Wood'
side School in November, 1962.*
Without the willing co-operation of staff and pupils at these
schools the survey of air pollution in the Borough could not have
been complete and I unhesitatingly express my sincere thanks for
their valued assistance.

The tables below show the readings taken during the whole of this period.
