Four samples (Nos. 0/277, 0/283, 0/289 and 0/296) were found to contain tubercle bacilli,
and action was taken resulting in the examination of the herds at the supplying farms. The other
46 samples showed no evidence of tuberculosis.
The following are particulars of the four positive samples:—
0/277.—An animal giving tuberculous milk was found, and was slaughtered under the
Tuberculosis Order, 1925, post-mortem examination showing the disease to be advanced.

living tubercle bacilli in one individual sample. This cow was reported for slaughter
under the Tuberculosis Order.
0/289.—Samples of milk taken from producer's herd which proved to be negative.
0/296. Two animals found on premises giving tuberculous milk. The animals were slaughtered
under the Tuberculosis Order, 1925, post-mortem examination showing the disease to
be advanced.
