Poliomyelitis
No cases were notified.
The following table gives (A) the number of second injections and (B)
the number of third injections given during the year ended 31st December,
1960:—

Food Poisoning
No cases of food poisoning were notified.
Scarlet Fever
There were 34 cases of scarlet fever notified as against 5 in 1959, and
5 cases were removed to hospital.
The disease generally was of a mild type and there were no "return"
cases. No deaths were recorded.
Sonne Dysentery
There were 30 cases of Sonne Dysentery notified during 1960.
Measles
A total of 129 cases was notified during the year compared with 500
the previous year. There were no deaths.
Whooping Cough
Cases were notified throughout the year and totalled 34, compared with
31 the previous year. There were no deaths.
The following table gives the number of children in the district who
received primary injections against whooping cough during the year ended
31st December, 1960:—
