Thirteen of the 15 deaths from pulmonary tuberculosis
were of cases notified in this district. Of the non-notified cases
who died, one had resided in this district for a few weeks only
and had been notified whilst residing in an adjoining district;
and in the other the disease was found after a post-mortem
examination.
The one death from another form of tuberculosis occurred
in a hospital outside the district and had not been notified.
Cases of tuberculosis are periodically visited and disinfection
is carried out as occasion requires.
