ARTHUR P. CUMMINGS.
DENTAL CLINIC.
The Dentist visits each school in turn and inspects the mouths
of all children who arc 6 years of age. The parents of those found
suffering from dental caries are communicated with, and if they
desire treatment at the clinic an appointment is made.
The condition of the teeth of children who attend the
Dental Clinic is recorded on cards and a note made of the treatment
carried out. The object of the Dentist is to render the mouth
in a healthy condition, which is done by filling all the teeth which
can be saved and only extracting those which are unsavable ; in
some cases dressings with silver nitrate are employed.
